We’re counting down the days until June 22nd when our team arrives in Indianapolis to see an exhibition we have planned and designed entirely remotely throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Since late 2020, our content and design teams have been working alongside the dynamic and engaged in-house curatorial, education, and collection teams at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art to reimagine 16,000 square feet of existing gallery space.
Starting with the outcomes from a series of lively online workshops and a point-cloud scan of the gallery spaces in-hand, we embarked on a 20-month journey of storyline development, interpretive planning, gallery planning, design, and special exhibit development. We have burned through thousands of hours in online meetings sharing, creating, visualizing, and sometimes debating.
It is a curious experience to plan and design for a space you’ve never set foot in…but we are firm believers in the joint powers of trust and honesty which were essential over the past two years. We’re a week away from seeing it all in person.
Stay-tuned, we’ll have lots more to say on this one…
